What exactly is EasyLifeKey® and how does it and its technology work?
EasyLifeKey® may seem magical, but it's not magic or rocket science – the explanation is simple yet ingenious. Digital information on the EasyLifeKey® digital key is exchanged electronically with the reader.
Depending on the authorization level, the door is opened or another pre-programmed function is activated for a short, adjustable period.
Which devices and systems are compatible with EasyLifeKey®?
Almost all RFID devices that work with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification - not NFC) - regardless of the manufacturer - are compatible.
How secure is EasyLifeKey® - and what is a UID?
EasyLifeKey® can be used on different systems - depending on the manufacturer and technology - with AES encryption and without encryption.
A UID (Universal Identification Number) is a unique number that exists worldwide (for example, the Mifare DESfire technology uses a 14-digit number). It exists only once! It is stored in the digital electronics as a so-called HEX code – for example, 43A2B3FAC2987E.
Depending on the system and/or manufacturer, there is also individual AES encryption on top of this.
This makes the EasyLifeKey® impossible to copy and/or hack!
What RFID technologies does EasyLifeKey® use and is it compatible with older technologies?
EasyLifeKey® can be used on different systems and, depending on the chip configuration, utilizes the technologies Mifare® DESFire® (incl. Classic), LEGIC® Advant (MP313) as well as possibilities of the old still existing technologies HITAG2 and EM4100/4200.
Do I need an internet connection to use EasyLifeKey®?
No, the system and technology do not require the internet for basic setup and everyday on-site use.
What happens if I lose my EasyLifeKey® digital key or it gets stolen?
The EasyLifeKey® can be easily blocked in the existing system (depending on the manufacturer) to prevent any authorization and function.
Does the EasyLifeKey® digital key require a battery or a rechargeable battery?
No, the EasyLifeKey® technology does not require a battery; the "power" comes from the "reading page" (reader) during use.
What happens if I accidentally wash the EasyLifeKey® with my laundry?
No problem for the EasyLifeKey® - it just shouldn't be "cooked" until it's soft! 😉
What connection or relationship actually exists between EasyLifeKey® and the aforementioned company ICS SECURITY SYSTEMS?
The EasyLifeKey® brand itself and its developed products originated from ICS SECURITY SYSTEMS, a company that has been in business for more than 28 years and is a specialist installer of security technology.
